Drone Repair Services
We’re not a drone retailer or repair business, but we do have some recommendations for our fellow aerial imaging enthusiasts.
DJI, Skydio, Autel, or similar.
At UAV Chicago, we specialize in professional aerial data capture, mapping, and inspection services—but we do not perform drone repairs. If your drone is damaged or malfunctioning, we recommend contacting the manufacturer directly for proper support and certified service.
Major manufacturers like DJI, Autel Robotics, and Skydio each offer official repair programs, warranty services, and in some cases, directories of authorized third-party repair centers. Reaching out to the original equipment manufacturer ensures your aircraft is serviced by trained technicians using genuine parts, maintaining airworthiness, safety, and warranty coverage.
If you’re unsure where to begin, visit the support section of your drone’s manufacturer website to start a repair request or locate an authorized service provider.
Custom Drones, FPV Drone Repairs
We love the innovation and creativity within the FPV and custom drone community—but at UAV Chicago, we do not build, wire, or troubleshoot custom drones or FPV systems. These projects are highly individualized and often best handled by experienced hobbyists and specialized FPV suppliers.
If you’re assembling or repairing a custom build, we recommend sourcing your parts and support through reputable FPV retailers such as GetFPV, iFlight, RaceDayQuads, and similar online suppliers. These vendors often provide excellent documentation, community forums, and product-specific guidance for DIY builders.
For assistance with soldering, wiring, or electronic component issues, we suggest reaching out to a local independent electronics repair shop—such as a cell phone or computer repair business. They typically have the tools and skills to diagnose and repair circuit-level problems common in FPV builds.
